Zhineng Qigong is an Eastern movement art and consists of simple, easy to learn, flowing physical movements. The power of Zhineng Qigong is that these Chinese health exercises can be learned and performed by anyone in a very short time. This is because they are so simple.
Qigong was the best-kept secret of China more than 5,000 years ago. It was performed behind closed doors. It was an art to get the body, mind and soul to work together as one whole. Once you had attained this so-called internal Qigong circle, you were part of the large Qigong family and you were given information to enable you to connect your mind and body using energy exercises. The few texts about Qigong were written with such complication that only the Qigong family could read the codes. So for the outside world it was impossible to obtain this movement skill.
Now everything has changed and people around the world can get to know the exercises of Qigong. In the West Qigong is gaining familiarity as an effective system of slow movements combatting stress and illness and promoting vitality and peace. Qigong is part of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine). TCM assumes that Qi (energy) circulates through the body in channels (meridians).
Illnesses are the consequence of disturbances to the Qi flow in the meridians. Or they arise from an imbalance of Qi in the organs. With Qigong these disturbances can be resolved so that the Qi can again flow freely through the meridians. The body can heal and the person again feels vigorous and healthy. Qigong
